Premier League clubs have just 10 days left to sign the players they need for the new season

The transfer window opened on May 17 for Premier League and EFL clubs and for the first time, it will close on August 9.

Clubs will be able to sell players up until August 31 but they won’t be able to sign any replacements after the August 9 deadline.

Tottenham Hotsspur have yet to sign a player during the transfer window while Chelsea and Manchester United are among the clubs looking to strengthen before the new season gets underway.

Here we look at the 10 transfers that could happen in time for next season…

It is no secret that Thibaut Courtois wants to leave Stamford Bridge and he could get his wish this summer.

The Belgian keeper who won the Golden Glove award at the 2018 World Cup, wants to return to Madrid and be reunited with his two children who still live there.

Courtois will be allowed to leave this summer but Chelsea are intent on finding a replacement before they let him go. He only has one year left on his current Chelsea deal so it is best they get some money for him now before he leaves on a free transfer next summer.

Willian to Manchester United

Barcelona were favourites to sign Brazilian winger Willian before they gazumped Roma at the 11th hour to sign Malcolm, another Brazilian.

Now that Barcelona have got their man, this means Manchester United have no competition in their bid to sign the Chelsea star.

Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Willian and wants to reunite with him again after the pair worked together at Chelsea.

Aaron Ramsey to Chelsea

Ramsey has stated he is under no pressure to make a decision over his future but Arsenal will want to avoid another contract saga after Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri wants to bolster his midfield options and the Welsh midfielder could fit the bill.

Eden Hazard to Real Madrid

Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, Real Madrid are looking for their next Galatico and Eden Hazard is one of their targets.

Hazard has two years left on his current Chelsea contract but has so far refused to sign a £300,000-per-week extension.

Real Madrid are big admirers of Hazard but they may not be able to pull of the deal in time due to the August 9 Premier League deadline.

Harry Maguire to Manchester United

Leicester are reluctant to sell after already losing Riyad Mahrez to Man City this summer.

Maguire would be happy to move to United but he won’t force the move and could line up against the Red Devils on August 10.

Jack Butland to Chelsea

Relegated Stoke City could lose one of their biggest assets in the coming days as Chelsea eye Jack Butland.

The Blues are willing to let Courtois leave but would want to sign a replacement first and that’s where Butland comes in.

Stoke are targeting an immediate return to the Premier League and therefore would be unwilling to let Butland leave.

Alvaro Morata to Juventus

So far, the Spaniard has failed to settle and could return to Juventus in a bid to rediscover his form.

Maurizio Sarri is determined to work with Morata but he might not get the chance.

Yerry Mina to Manchester United

Harry Maguire is Man United’s preferred option in defence but should they fail to sign him, they have identified Yerry Mina as a replacement.

Mina impressed at the World Cup with Colombia and despite only joining Barcelona in January, he looks set to leave.

Everton are also interested in him but United could swoop to seal the deal.

Christian Pulisic to Chelsea

The Blues have asked Borussia Dortmund about the American forward’s availability and are keen to push a deal through.

Pulisic is likely to be available for £65million.
