Real Madrid will be without Vinicius Junior for next Sunday’s Clasico against Barcelona after he was sent off for the Castilla side during their clash with Celta Vigo B.

The Brazilian was shown a second yellow card four minutes from time for an apparent dive as he attempted to race down the wing.

The regulations are clear in such circumstances, that he must serve the suspension next weekend and will be unavailable at the Camp Nou.

“In the case of players who may be aligned with other teams at their club or at a sponsored club, the sanctioned player may not take part in any games for the team or clubs until his suspension, for the category in which the infraction was committed, is served,” article 56 reads, on such issues.

It now means that Vinicius, who rescued a point for the Castilla side before his red card, will have to fulfil his suspension next weekend and will thus miss both the Castilla side’s clash with Fuenlabrada on Saturday and El Clasico on Sunday.
