This is what Valverde said after the match against Roma

Still, Barcelona coach has managed to find some doubtful excuses by simply claiming that everything was in Roma’s favour.
Barcelona were knocked out from the Champions League after a shameful 3-0 loss to Roma.

Plenty of Barca fans blame the coach, Ernesto Valverde, for one of the poorest displays ever.

So, what did Valverde have to say after this horrible match?

“I have no explanations.”

“Everything was in their favour; they scored an early goal and the atmosphere were causing us many problems.”

“They forced us to play the long ball. There were no spaces and they played man to man. It was a game we could not impose our style on.”

“The opponent were so powerful, they played aggressively and pressed us too much.”

Valverde tried to remind the fans there are other competitions to be played in…

“People are sad, this is normal after such a loss, we have to get back to La Liga and the Copa del Rey.”

“We have to stand up again.”

Anyway, Valverde has found a courage to admit responsibility for this terrible performance.

“I take responsibility. I’m in charge of everything that happened, the coach is the one who picks the lineup.”
