The fake Mexican footballer who invented a life as a Juventus player

Dionicio Farid Rodriguez managed to deceive people and media in Mexico, by pretending to be a Juventus football player.

The 19-year-old faked his social media account – which counted as many as 16,000 followers – and added photos donning the team’s shirt.

He even edited a real image of the Portuguese player Joao Serrao, who is a current Juventus academy prodigy.

Due to his assumed status as an Old Lady player, Farid gave talks and interviews to talk about his experience in Turin.

The fraud’s career was linked with teams such as Lobos BUAP and Pumas de la UNAM, and he also invented games and goals that never matched the reality.
