Sanchez aims to leave Man Utd in January with top European team on wish-list

Alexis Sanchez is ready to quit Manchester United in January and has his sights set on Paris Saint Germain, according to Mirror.

Sanchez, 29 , has become deeply disillusioned at Old Trafford over losing his place in the team and manager Jose Mourinho’s public criticism of his performances.

United are now willing to cut their losses and Sanchez’s representatives aresounding out potential clubs, with megabucks PSG top of the list.

The French giants are one of few clubs who could match the Chile international forward’s huge contract which is worth in excess of £500,000 a week — although his former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger famously claimed he takes home as much as £200,000 per week more than that.

United would want a transfer fee, despite Sanchez being a financial disaster after arriving last January in a swap deal that took Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Gunners.

PSG already have a wealth of forwards in Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani, but were keen on Sanchez before he went to Old Trafford.

A move to Paris appeals, although the Sanchez camp are likely to also look at options in Spain and Italy. He has played in both countries before, having left Udinese for Barcelona in 2011 before joining Arsenal three years later.

However, the finances involved mean very few clubs could afford a player who has become hard to manage, even for Mourinho.

Sanchez has scored just three Premier League goals since joining United and has been left bitterly upset with his treatment, making his resentment clear after being dropped at West Ham last month and voicing his frustrations to friends and current and former team-mates.

It would be surprising for any club to sell a top player in the winter window, but Sanchez is desperate to play more football and if the right offer comes along then it will surely be seen as the best solution.
