Ronaldo posts heartwarming snap with Sir Alex Ferguson

Cristiano Ronaldo has used his time back in England to catch up with an old friend, posting a snap alongside legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Juventus forward starred in his side’s 1-0 Champions League victory at Old Trafford, before spending some time with a club legend in Ferguson.

Writing on Twitter alongside the picture, Ronaldo said: ‘A great coach and above all a wonderful man. Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch.’

‘Great to see you in good shape, Boss!’

Ahead of Utd win, Ronaldo has also paid his tribute to the legendary boss: ‘”It’s a huge emotional thing for me to return to Manchester United. I know all about the history. I won trophies here – cups, leagues, Champions League.’

‘Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never forget and I’d like to express my best possible wishes to him.’
