Real Madrid are active in the transfer market with the deadline rapidly approaching, and after Mariano’s return was confirmed, Borja Mayoral has chosen to leave for Levante.

The Spanish forward has agreed to a loan move for the 2018/19 season, although there is no permanent option for the club to sign the player at the end of the campaign.

Mayoral didn’t take part in training on Friday morning in order to sign his Levante contract, and it was only the wait for Mariano’s signature that kept the former Wolfsburg goal scorer in Madrid.

Levante have been interested in completing a deal for the 21-year-old since the end of the 2017/18 season, and Paco Lopez now has his man.
