PSG unable to guarantee Neymar’s future

Reports continue to emerge regarding Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain with the player’s injury lay-off said to be providing the backdrop to negotiations over his departure.

Les Parisiens’ Champions League exit, which came in a somewhat typical manner given their recent failings, left the Brazilian distraught as he watched on from his home country.

Following the game, Neymar reportedly instructed his father, who also acts as his agent, to inform the club that he has no intention of pulling on the PSG shirt when he gets fit, according to ABC.

It is said that the winger considers his decision to be ‘irreversible’ and that he wants to begin talks to sign for Real Madrid ‘no matter what’.

Neymar’s father thus has three months to discuss the move between PSG chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi and Madrid president Florentino Perez.

There is no indication as yet as to whether such an operation has any chance of succeeding but newspaper Le Parisien have shed some light on a lack of confidence inside the French club over this matter.

They report on a high level meeting between sporting director Artero Henrique, a well regarded player, and his agent, during which Henrique was asked about Neymar’s future in Paris.

“I cannot guarantee it,” is said to be the sporting director’s reply, showing just how nervy the club is, if true.
