According to Telemadrid, the former Getafe, Swansea and Mallorca boss had supposedly contacted Madrid with a view to replacing Lopetegui if he’s sacked. Danish coach Michael Laudrup, a former Real Madrid and Barcelona player, among others, says he has not offered himself to replace Julen Lopetegui on the Los Blancos bench. “I haven’t offered myself to any team,” he said in an email sent to Danish agency Ritzau after rumours suggested he wanted the Madrid job. “I never have done. I would never do that to a colleague.”
