Diego Simeone makes huge claim about Madrid future

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has claimed he won’t be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer and wants to not only stay at the club, but also improve the side and take them to new levels.

He was speaking following the draw with Real Madrid and noted that he thinks the club always want to win, so coming away from the game with a draw is never going to be ideal, but that they certainly responded well to the goal.
“I want the club to keep improving and that’s why I’m staying because I think we can keep growing,” Marca report he said.
“I try to do everything possible so that everyone who grows the club stays.
“We work to improve the team, and whenever the team improves, the club will improve.”

He also spoke about the Madrid derby, where his side came away with a draw, and said: “I’m not happy because we wanted to win.
“They started better and it was difficult for us to get involved, but we created danger and we responded immediately to their goal.
“I leave with a sour taste.”

Chelsea and Arsenal
Both Chelsea and Arsenal have been heavily linked with Diego Simeone in the past, and it seems that he could well be willing to not only turn his back on the Premier League, but also turn his back on Serie A, where he has long claimed he wants to manage – and for now stay in Spain.
Inter Milan are close to his heart, and it seems one day he could manage them – yet at the minute, he is focusing on Atletico Madrid, who look like preparing themselves to lose Antoine Griezmann come the summer to Barcelona.
