Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Serie A, Italy’s newspaper headlines have been dominated by the Portuguese star.

His goal drought – Ronaldo is yet to score an official goal for Juventus – is causing some concern.

One of the latest to speak about the ex Real Madrid player’s arrival is Inter’s Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij.

“I’ll admit: at first I didn’t believe that he would come to Italy, but when they started to insist…” he said in an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport.

“His arrival in Serie A is positive for Italian football because it gives us all a big push.”

However, for de Vrij, Cristiano, or at least this Cristiano isn’t the best.

“I faced him in an international friendly before the 2014 World Cup,” he continued.

“It finished 1-1 and he scored close to the end from a corner. Who is the strongest forward that I’ve faced? [Kylian] Mbappe.”
