Juventus midfielder Leonardo Bonucci admitted he had received a bid from Manchester United during the summer transfer window, however he eventually chose to return to Juventus, which is his home.

Bonucci had spent seven years at Juventus before being transferred to Milan during the summer transfer window. However, the 32-year-old was not happy at San Siro and decided to return to Allianz just a year later.

The Italian has admitted that he had the opportunity to experience the Premier League, where Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United had made an offer to buy him. But Bonucci was convinced he only wanted to return to Juventus.

“To tell the truth, I had some opportunities, even Manchester City and Manchester United. From Manchester City I had a bid in 2016. Then I talked to the club, I talked with Juventus and decided that it was better to stay and continue the victories with Juventus, “Bonucci said.

“And this year I had the opportunity to go home again, to return to Juventus. When I received this offer, I did not pay more attention to the other bids and decided to go back. ”

When asked if he had received an offer from the “Red Devils” this summer, he replied, “Yes.”
