Belgium will not stop Martinez to join Real Madrid

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez is one of the candidates to replace Julen Lopetegui on the Real Madrid bench.

Martinez, a Catalan coach who has found success outside Spanish football, is one of the options being managed by the Madrid board — although he’s not the only one, nor is he the best placed.

Despite that, Cadena Ser advanced on Monday night that Madrid already know that the Belgian Football Federation won’t stand in Martinez’s way if Los Blancos move for him.

Martinez, the former Wigan and Everton coach, led Belgium to third place in the World Cup in the summer.

According to Cadena Ser, Madrid are aware that Belgium won’t be problematic despite the success they’ve had with Martinez.

The Red Devils have two games left in the UEFA Nations League (against Iceland and Switzerland next month) and after those two matches, they could let Martinez go.
