Philippe Coutinho was asked again about a possible move to Barcelona, but insisted he wants to remain in Liverpool.
The Reds midfielder scored Liverpool’s second goal on Sunday in a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough to finish the season in fourth place and qualifying to Champions League.
After yesterday’s match, Jurgen Klopp announced that he has given a clear message to Coutinho, linked to a possible move to Barcelona.
“Go to Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich and you will one player more, if you stay here, they will build you an statue until the end,” Klopp’s words seem to have convinced Coutinho, who gave an Interesting interview for “ESPN Brasil”.
The 24-year-old, who has just signed a new five-year contract with the “Reds”, says he will continue to stay in “Afield.”
“I have a long contract with Liverpool,” he said, adding: “Speculation is for journalists only.”
