Kylian Mbappe will be playing for the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona in no time, according to his AS Monaco teammate Fabinho.
The 18-year-old has had an outstanding season for the Ligue 1 leaders and Champions League quarter-finalists Monaco, scoring 19 goals and assisting 11 in all competitions.
Mbappe’s fine run of form earned him a place in Didier Deschamps’ 2018 World Cup qualifying squad, where he made his debut in France’s 3-1 win over Luxembourg.
“We know that sooner or later he’ll go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, or another club of that caliber,” Fabinho told Chuteria F.C.
“But until then we’re going to enjoy him at Monaco.
“Mbappe’s tremendous. For an 18-year-old, he has such maturity both on and off the pitch. He’s playing a decisive role and scoring lots of goals.
“For someone his age playing in the level of competitions that we’re playing in, that’s not easy. And I haven’t even mentioned how quick he is…”
Ahead of France’s international friendly with Spain on Tuesday, Spanish striker Diego Costa has praised the 18-year-old’s ability.
“If he continues to progress at this rate, he’ll be a phenomenon,” Costa told Telefoot.
“He’s a killer in front of goal and a very good dribbler.
“I hope he continues down this road.”
