Felipe Melo claims ‘if Juventus call me to play with Cristiano Ronaldo, I’ll go back’ as ‘I don’t just kick, I’ve won 15 trophies’.
Melo was recently caught up in a public feud with ex-Juve teammate Giorgio Chiellini after the defender called him ‘the worst of the worst’ in his new autobiography.
Having since revealed that he had headbutted Chiellini, the former Brazil midfielder now admits he would love to play alongside Ronaldo.
“There are players who make a difference,” the 36-year-old told Ole.
“Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar… Then there’s me, Felipe Melo, and my kicks, something I do very well.
“But I don’t just kick. I was also able to assist Robinho, for me one of the best ever, at the 2010 World Cup against Netherlands.
“People who think of Felipe Melo immediately think of kicking, but I’m not just about kicks.
“I didn’t go to Juventus, Inter, Fiorentina or Galatasaray for the blows I gave on the pitch. I’ve won 15 trophies, so I have some quality.
“If Juve call me to play with Cristiano, I’ll go back. Barcelona wanted De Ligt, Cristiano Ronaldo called him and now he’s at Juve, 20 years old…”
