Casillas officially announces his candidacy for president of the Spanish football federation

Iker Casillas surprises everyone.

The former Spanish goalkeeper has officially announced his candidacy to run for president of the Spanish Football Federation in 2020, with Casillas aiming to replace Luis Rubiales.

“Yes, I will present my candidacy the moment the Spanish Football Federation elections are called. Together we will try to send our Federation to the top of the world, just like Spanish football. ”

Recall that Casillas, currently is part of Porto, in the Portuguese Championship, has not yet announced his departure from football.

This is expected to happen once he submits his candidacy for president of the federation.
