Trent Alexander-Arnold chose Liverpool midfielder and team-mate Jordan Henderson when asked whether he would prefer to play with Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Liverpool winger spent some time during this winter holiday in England answering questions from some fans on his official Twitter account.
Among other questions, he was asked whether he would prefer to play Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but Arnold replied that he would prefer Jordan Henderson, using his nickname “Hendo”.
Liverpool fans liked Arnold’s response, writing things like, “We keep on propagating Hendon”, “What a response!”
However, Arnold later named Messi as his toughest opponent he has faced in his career.
He went on to praise Steven Gerrard as his Liverpool idol, while naming Thierry Henry and Zinedine Zidane as his two non-playing Liverpool idols.
Arnold will be able to return to the green field on Saturday when Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign against Norwich City.
