Former Barcelona sports director Afriedo Braida has said it is not impossible for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona.
European media have recently reported that Messi may leave the Spanish champion after a public row with former team-mate and now club sporting director Eric Abidal.
Braida, who was the sporting director of Barca and Milan during his career, believes he would not mind seeing Messi playing away from the Camp Nou.
“Personally, I think Messi will not leave Barcelona,” Braida told Anch’Io Sport radio.
“He is doing very well in Barcelona, though he does not dismiss the fact that he may one day leave,” he added.
“Who can buy him? Of course the English teams, but also in Italy are able to do some. Messi would solve a lot of problems in any team without him, Barcelona is just another team, “he said.
