Quique Setien hasn’t lost against Real Madrid in any of his last three visits to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The newly-appointed Barcelona head coach registered two consecutive victories whilst in charge of Real Betis, while he managed a draw in his spell with Las Palmas.

In the 2016/17 season, when Los Blancos won both LaLiga Santander and the Champions League, the team from the Canary Islands were winning 3-1 in the 86th minute before Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace to salvage a point for Real Madrid.

Setien’s first win at the Bernabeu came in the following campaign with Betis, who grabbed a last-minute 1-0 victory with a goal from Antonio Sanabria.

One year later, the Andalusian side beat Los Blancos 2-0 with goals from Loren Moron and Jese Rodriguez in what was Setien’s last game as Los Verdiblancos’ head coach.

Meanwhile, in the head-to-head battle against Zinedine Zidane, the Blaugrana coach has registered a balanced record of two wins, two draws and two defeats.
