Valverde gives Barcelona players a rest until Monday after Supercopa loss

The Barcelona squad will return to Spain from Saudi Arabia on Friday and Ernesto Valverde’s players will be allowed to rest during the weekend and return to training on Monday.

The next game of the Catalan side will kick off next Sunday at 21:00 CET at the Camp Nou against Granada, but the Blaugrana coach has decided to give them a rest after their trip to Jeddah.

Valverde wants his players to relax, leave the 3-2 defeat against Atletico Madrid behind them and prepare for the next match in the best possible way.

Barcelona have no midweek game next week and they can focus on the mistakes they made in the last two encounters against Espanyol and Atleti.
