Madrid offer big names including Bale to Man Utd to fund Pogba transfer

Real Madrid will reportedly offer up a number of stars – including Gareth Bale – to Manchester United in order to fund a £160million move for Paul Pogba.

Los Blancos are willing to part ways with at least one of their big names as they look to sign the wantaway French midfielder, report The Sun.

Pogba is currently out injured and may well have kicked his last ball for the Red Devils following a second spell at Old Trafford.

But United will not sell him on the cheap and the potential return from the Bernabeu could include a player as well as a sizeable fee.

Isco, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos could also be used as makeweight in a potential deal.

The trio have each been linked with United in the past, but wages – particularly in the case of Bale – could prove a stumbling block.

Welshman Bale earns around £600,000-a-week, more than double what Pogba currently earns.

The former Tottenham forward almost left Real in the summer, only for a lucrative move to China to collapse at the 11th hour.

Bale has courted controversy in the Spanish capital after holding up a flag saying “Wales, golf, Madrid… in that order” while on international duty earlier this season.

He has featured just 14 times in all competitions so far this term, scoring twice.
