Vinicius opens the door for Mbappe at Real Madrid

Lionel Messi won yet another Ballon d’Or on Monday evening but with his career winding down now that he’s into his 30s, everyone is left wondering who is the heir to his throne?

Many point towards Kylian Mbappe as the next superstar, and it’s hard to argue with that belief.

The 20-year-old forward finished sixth this year, and he’s been a dream for Real Madrid for some time now.

As MARCA have been reporting, Mbappe is the No.1 target for Los Blancos, and his Paris Saint-Germain future is up in the air with his contract set to expire in 2022.

Madrid want Mbappe and they’ve never hidden that. Zinedine Zidane regularly speaks of his love for his compatriot, and the forward himself is keen on the idea of playing at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe and Vinicius Junior spent time together in Paris on Monday and they took to social media to publicise their good relationship, referring to one another as friends.

It’s clear that the dressing room would be open to the youngster’s arrival.

But PSG won’t make it easy for Real Madrid and Leonardo is doing all he can to renew Mbappe’s current contract.

In turn, the Brazilian expressed his adoration of Vinicius and with him not being counted on by Zidane at the moment, he could well be the subject of interest from the French side.

Real Madrid, though, still see Vinicius as someone with a big future at the club.
