Niko Kovac made sure that he didn’t leave Bayern Munich without letting a number of his players know what he really thought of them, taking swipes at several in his last team talk.
With Bayern fourth in the Bundesliga, he and the club parted ways this past weekend after a 5-1 hammering against Eintracht Frankfurt, but not before taking aim at a number of his players.
“You shouldn’t pretend so much,” he said to Thiago Alcantara in reference to his diving, according to Bild.
“You lose the ball too easily,” was his summary of Serge Gnabry’s contribution.
Kingsley Coman also came in for criticism.
“Kingsley, you stand there while Thomas [Muller] is fighing,” he added.
Even Jerome Boateng was on the end of his words, having been sent off.
“You have to be smarter in those situations,” he said, “you don’t listen!
“We talk and train these plays, but then you don’t do them during the game.”
