The brother of Lorenzo Inisgne has revealed his fury at VAR for failing to give Napoli any of three possible penalties in the midweek match against Atalanta.

Napoli had to settle for a 2-2 draw after a late leveller from the visitors, and those tensions were only accentuated after Cristiano Ronaldo earned a controversial penalty for Juventus against Genoa.

The Portuguese superstar fell under a challenge in injury-time and was awarded a penalty which he got up to convert and win the game in the 95th minute.

Ronaldo’s fall caused a vocal response on social media, where the video of the controversial penalty went viral.

Marco Insigne, brother of Napoli star Lorenzo, made his feelings known with a damming condemnation of VAR.

“And what about VAR? This is ruining Italian football,” he posted, alongside the three penalty claims of Napoli.
