Real Madrid are still trying to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and have a plan to lure the Frenchman to the Bernabeu – according to reports.
Pogba stated his intentions to leave the club during the summer but United had no intentions of parting ways with their star midfielder.
Madrid along with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain were all reportedly interested in the World Cup winner but a move away from Old Trafford failed to materialise.
Reports in Spain suggest that Madrid still want to land the midfielder and will line up another move next summer.
El Desmarque report the Spanish giants plan to offer winger Gareth Bale as well as €100million to meet United’s valuation as they feel the Wales international is worth €80m.
They also claim Zinedine Zidane could hold the key to the transfer as Real Madrid chiefs are unwilling to sanction a move for Pogba unless the Frenchman can improve their fortunes on the pitch. MEN Sport understands Bale is not a current target for United.
