Real Madrid had their second training session of the week on Wednesday without 12 players, who are all away on international duty.

The notable news from Wednesday is that Marcelo was able to complete the entire session with the group, having missed the game against Granada due to a relapse with his injury.

Zinedine Zidane was unable to count on Ferland Mendy, Nacho Fernandez, Toni Kroos and Marco Asensio as they are all continuing their respective recoveries from injury, with Mendy being the only player who could return in time to face Real Mallorca after the international break.

The French left-back worked on the pitches alone and admitted that he could join up with his teammates this week.

Due to the diminished nature of the Madrid squad this week, Zidane opted for his first-team players to once again train with Castilla on Wednesday. They first worked with the ball before playing organised small-sided games in a confined space.
