Barcelona and Real Madrid are both monitoring Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and star defender Virgil van Dijk, according to reports.

Spanish newspaper AS claim Barcelona and Real Madrid are both interested in the Liverpool duo.

Regarding management, neither Ernesto Valverde or Zinedine Zidane’s job is safe over in La Liga.

Valverde is under pressure to deliver the Champions League trophy at Barcelona having failed to do so during his reign.

Failure on the European front could cost him his job and it seems Klopp is being eyed by the Catalan giants to take over.

Real Madrid are interested too, however.

Zidane returned to the La Liga titans in March and spent £300million this summer to build a team in his image.

However, the Frenchman’s future is uncertain with Florentino Perez already unhappy with results this season.
