Barcelona face Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday and Paco Alcacer opened up on his departure from the Camp Nou last year to join the German side.
The Spain international has claimed some at the Camp Nou treated him in an inappropriate way.
“I have respect for many people and many colleagues, as many people at Barcelona treated me very well and others very badly,” he told ‘Que T’hi Jugues’ on Cadena SER.
“The players acted very well with me and the fans also, although others treated me badly.
“For me it was very important to see that they trusted me and many people did not prove it.”
Alcacer went on to admit that it’s difficult to compete with Luis Suarez for the striker position.
“I must be happy with the games I played there,” he added.
“I did what I could to continue playing, but in the end it is up to the coach who plays.
“It is very difficult to play with players like Luis Suarez next up.”
“They have had a difficult start to the season,” he noted.
“They will have a very good reaction because of the club’s identity and the quality of the players.”
