Featuring 21 times for Brazil and winning 17 titles in his career already, the 28-year-old has been a huge success for the Old Lady.

Yet while he has won many trophies, the difficulties of his past have maintained his humility.

“When I entered the youth team of Atlético Paranaense at 15 years, I earned 90 euros per month,” he told Brazilian journalist Raiam Santos.

“My first great achievement in football was when I earned 300 dollars (around 270 euros) and I gave it to my parents for the expenses of the house.

“I could have bought something, but I wanted to help my family,” said Sandro.

Despite 159 games for Juventus and four Serie A titles, the defender feels guilty for his lifestyle in comparison to those in his native land.

“Many times I go out with my family and spend 300 or 400 euros.

“Then, I think about how many Brazilian Reals that equals to and I feel guilty for having spent that money in just one night,” added the left-back.

After featuring for his national side against Peru, Sandro will set his mind next on a tricky away tie against Fiorentina.
