Serie A champions Juventus are planning a shock swoop for French superstar Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Italy.
CalcioMercato. It are reporting that Juve are looking at Mbappe after failing to prize Neymar away from the French side.
The report states that though Real Madrid are leading the race for the 20-year-old, club president Fiorentino Perez is cautious that Juve will beat them to him.
Neymar was reportedly close to a return to Barcelona, but had been linked with a move to Juventus.
The Italian giants were reportedly keen to link him up with Cristiano Ronaldo, and subsequently offered up Paulo Dybala as a makeweight.
But PSG were not interested in a swap deal, and refused to let Neymar leave.
The Brazilian was forced to stay at the Parc des Princes, and looks unlikely to leave until next summer at the earliest.
And now, it appears that Juventus have bowed out of the race to sign the Brazilian, and will look to his PSG team-mate Mbappe instead.
