Zinedine Zidane reacted to the 1-1 draw against Real Valladolid: “Bad taste in the mouth as we did the most difficult part, scoring in the second part, which was not our best period, but we scored. Then three or four minutes later they equalise. We were out of position and it is difficult to take as we deserved the three points.”
“You can lose the ball, that can happen, but we were out of position to defend. We had done the most difficult, scoring a goal, and then we need to get the ball the f*** out of there for the rest of the game.
“Going ahead in the 84th minute, we must be practical and know with conviction what the game requires. We must accept that, any team can come here and do you damage.
“We must play for the 90 minutes, I will insist on that. If we play 90 minutes, like we played the first half, we have a great chance to take the game.
“I see that fans are thinking ‘this is happening again’. They have to help us too, to change that. I ask the fans who enjoyed the team winning many things, we need them now with the players,” concluded the manager.
