Keylor Navas is edging closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain with Real Madrid having accepted the Costa Rican’s desire to move on for first-team football, reports Marca.

Zinedine Zidane has made it clear that Thibaut Courtois will be Los Blancos’ first-choice goalkeeper for the 2019/20 season, leading the 32-year-old goalkeeper to search for opportunities away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has been looking for a top-bracket keeper with his Qatari bosses demanding a serious pursuit of the Champions League this campaign, and having defended Real Madrid’s goal in their recent three successive European title hauls, Navas certainly fits the bill.

The Ligue 1 champions reached an agreement for Navas at the end of last season, but Real Madrid hindered the move by demanding a fee of 20 million euros.

That, coupled with Antero Henrique’s departure from PSG as sporting director, brought a halt to the operation.

Now, however, the move is back on after Navas made his desire to leave clear to the club.

Los Blancos have accepted the decision and are already looking for a replacement, ideally a veteran keeper who would arrive on a year-long loan deal.
