Manchester United snubbed Paris Saint-Germain’s suggestion to swap Neymar for Paul Pogba in a player plus cash exchange, according to reports.

The Brazilian has made it clear he is keen to leave PSG this month and has his heart set on a move back to Spain, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona interested.

Paris Saint-Germain were initially adamant the forward, who they paid a world-record £198m for back in 2017, was not going anywhere in the summer transfer window.

But they have since softened their stance and are looking at other options, including Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale and Manchester United’s record-signing, Pogba.

According to The Independent, PSG suggested the Red Devils give them Pogba – who has been pushing for a move away from Old Trafford – and cash for Neymar.

But the Red Devils reportedly rejected the offer due to the cost involved.

Pogba appears to have his heart set on a transfer to Real Madrid, where he would play under France World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane.

Neymar on the other hand wants Champions League football, meaning the PSG-United swap deal wouldn’t suit either player anyway.
