Real Madrid’s squad worked together under the roof of the NRG Stadium on Friday night, after it was closed to allow the air conditioning to be turned on.
This was due to the scorching 35 degree Celsius temperatures in Texas.
The conditions, which reached 75 percent humidity, were deemed too much for Zinedine Zidane’s players as they took the field that is home to NFL team Houston Texans.
Zidane has a near complete squad to pick from for the upcoming match against Bayern Munich, as strikers Karim Benzema and Mariano re-joined their teammates and Brahim Diaz was the only player absent due to injury.
The game against Bayern Munich will be Real Madrid’s first appearance in this summer’s International Champions Cup.
The pre-season tournament provides the opportunity for fans to see Los Blancos’ new star signings, including Belgian attacker Eden Hazard and Serbian striker Luka Jovic.
