Takefusa Kubo is training under the orders of Zinedine Zidane, but Real Madrid have already registered him with their Juvenil A youth team for next season.
Real Madrid Castilla coach Raul Gonzalez has made clear that the Japanese talent is part of his plans for the 2019/20 campaign.
Given his 18 years of age, Kubo will be able to feature in any of the club’s youth sides, including the B team, but a non-EU spot will have to become available for him to move to the seniors.
Real Madrid used the same tactic last season with Vinicius, who became a first-team regular last season and who now occupies one of the three aforementioned non-EU spots.
Los Blancos have placed their confidence in Kubo’s skills and they are willing to help him grow step by step in order to fulfil his potential in the coming years.
