Barcelona confirmed the signing of Antoine Griezmann on Friday to fuel speculation over the future of several of their stars.
The Frenchman arrived in a £107m deal from Atletico Madrid after Barcelona finally activated his release clause.
The deal is likely to have an affect on Ernesto Valverde’s squad, especially with Neymar being tipped to make his return to the Nou Camp.
Among those tipped to be fighting for their futures are Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
Coutinho has struggled for form since his £140m move from Liverpool in January 2018 and continues to be tipped to return to Anfield.
That deal appears unlikely with Jurgen Klopp not expected to try and re-sign the Brazilian.
The Reds boss admitted after the 6-0 pre-season friendly win over Tranmere that he was not expecting a busy final few weeks of the window.
But Liverpool fans want the boss to make a move for France winger Dembele, who is also likely to fall down the pecking order.
Dembele arrived from Borussia Dortmund two years ago but has not hit the heights expected.
And Liverpool supporters hope the arrival of Griezmann could see Dembele depart and head for Anfield.
Speaking after the win over Tranmere, Klopp suggested the return to fitness of Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rhian Brewster were like new signings.
Youngster Sepp van den Berg has signed from PEC Zwolle while Liverpool are also likely to finalise a deal for Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott in the coming weeks.
But will Klopp be tempted to make a move for Dembele if he is available?
