Barcelona plans to pay Griezmann release clause tomorrow

FC Barcelona plans to activate this Friday morning the payment of 120 million euros of the termination clause of Antoine Griezmann. As Mundo Deportivo has learned, the LaLiga headquarters would not be a representative of the Catalan club but a lawyer for the French forward to present all the documentation.

However, the officiality of the signing of Griezmann by Barca will not come until LaLiga validates the payment of the freedom of the player. As soon as the employers of the clubs report that everything is in order to the Barça entity, it will make an official announcement announcing the hiring of the striker. Griezmann will sign for five seasons, until 2024, and is waiting for his signing to be a reality to take a plane and travel to Barcelona.

The date of the presentation in the Camp Nou (it would be behind closed doors due to the works to replant the lawn) is still an unknown as it depends on that definitive OK of LaLiga to finish tracing the agenda of the Antoine’s comeback new culé player. The team of Ernesto Valverde, with the only exception of the participants in the Copa América, will practice for the first time on Monday 15 a day after having passed the medical and physical examinations.
