Juventus have joined Inter in approaching Manchester United for €80m-rated Romelu Lukaku, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The Nerazzurri made absolutely no secret of their interest in the Belgium international, who Antonio Conte had already wanted when he was at Chelsea.

Inter need to raise funds, most likely by selling Mauro Icardi, before they can raise their offer for Lukaku, which currently stands at a paid two-year loan for €10m with option to buy for another €60m.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that Juventus have now approached Manchester United to ask after Lukaku.

It’s not clear if this is a way of forcing Inter’s hand with Icardi, who has his heart set on Juventus, or by pricing the Nerazzurri out of the market and therefore forcing them to keep the Icardi ‘problem’ all summer.
