Could legendary Dani Alves return to Barcelona? Apparently, he is not particularly happy about his Paris Saint-Germain tenure, especially following their fruitless attempts to win the Champions League. That’s what he says on his potential future destination, as quoted by Diario Sport:

“I am passionate about the people of PSG, the people who care and are part of the club. But sportingly speaking we did not get the results we expected and I need a team that really knows how to compete for what we aspire to achieve.”

However, he doesn’t confirm whether he is going to leave or stay at PSG: “Now I’m focused on the national team, having a great Copa America and then I can decide my future and where I’m going if I stay or leave. Right now I don’t know what is going to happen. My future will depend on the proposal made to me. “I’m like good wine, time goes by and I’m getting better.”

Dani Alves was an iconic figure at the Camp Nou stadium between 2008 and 2016. In these eight years, he won three Champions League trophies and formed a close bond with Lionel Messi.

By the way, in the same interview, the Bazilian has admitted that he still sees Barca as ‘his’ club: “Barca is my home,” said the Brazilian. “I have always said it and I can not say anything else: I love that club and everything I have lived there and I love all the people who are part of the club and all the teammates who are still there.”

While speaking to ESPN back in May, Alves recalled playing alongside the legendary trident of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar back in 2014-2016, his final years at the Camp Nou stadium.

The Brazilian says: “It was lights out. I felt we couldn’t lose a game. You saw how the team trained, how we played, the positioning we made, how we pressed and how we ran, I thought we were unbeatable — even if we really weren’t, but that’s how we felt. Everything was so connected and perfect.”
