There have been a lot of players linked with Real Madrid.
The latest is Juventus’s Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic. The 29 year old is very versatile and Zinedine Zidane likes that, but the player is his plan C.
Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen are the first two choices for midfield. Zidane would love the Man United midfielder, while president Florentino Perez gives more merit to Tottenham’s Danish midfielder. Both would cost over 100m euros which Madrid don’t want to pay.
For Pjanic, Juventus would accept 80m euros. He has a contract until 2023 after renewing last season. Madrid would try to lower that figure. They want to start a new project after the failures of this season. Pjanic’s future may depend on incoming coach Maurizio Sarri too.
