ESPN claim that Philippe Coutinho will be made one of the scapegoats for Barcelona’s elimination from Europe against Liverpool and that there’s almost complete unanimity at the club that it’s time to sell him in the summer.

A club source told ESPN that “Coutinho’s not a Barcelona player, that’s been made clear. He doesn’t add anything. He will leave in the summer.”

According to said information, the coaching staff are disappointed with his performances. The board are also annoyed with the Brazilian’s displays considering he’s the most expensive signing in the club’s history at 160 million euros (120m fixed, 40m in add-ons).

“We made a huge effort to bring him here and it’s not worked out,” the source added.

Barca are ready to sell Coutinho if they receive an offer of at least 105 million euros.
