Spanish media Cadena SER has reported that Mohamed Salah ‘will almost certainly’ miss the second leg of Champions League semi-finals against Barcelona at Anfield through head injury.

Cadena SER’s sources inside Liverpool dressing room claim that the clud doctors have made the decision to rule Salah out of the Barcelona clash following a protocol in England which requires players who suffer a head injury to sit out matches for at least six days.

It is reported that Salah is ’emotionally shattered’ by the decision ahead of such an important match for Liverpool.

He is likely to join Roberto Firmino on the sideline, who himself has not recovered from muscular injury and will also miss the second leg against Barcelona.

Meanwhile, English media Daily Mail says that Salah underwent tests on Sunday to determine whether he suffered concussion.

If confirmed, he will miss the second leg and will not be able to train until next Saturday, the day before Liverpool play the final league game at home to Wolves.
