Cristiano Ronaldo claims he has ‘adapted perfectly’ at Juve, where ‘they’ve seen that I’m not a fraud’ and is not ruling out a career in coaching.
Ronaldo joined Juve from Real Madrid last summer and has marked his debut season in Italy with a Scudetto and Supercoppa, although he is set to post his lowest goalscoring return since at least 2010.
“The first thing I do when I get to a new club is to be myself, not anything else,” he told El Pais, in a snippet of a forthcoming interview with the Spanish newspaper.
“My work ethic is always the same. You must be humble and remember that you don’t know everything.
“If you’re smart, you catch the little things that improve you as an athlete. I adapted perfectly at Juve. They’ve seen that I’m not a fraud.
“Only football and normal things have been talked about in the dressing rooms I’ve been in, nothing more or less.”
The No 7 turned 34 in February and is a successful businessman away from football, but could he yet go into management after he hangs up his boots?
“Why not?” he concluded.
