Martin Odegaard hasn’t lived up to the big expectations that came with his move to Real Madrid in 2015, but he has impressed on loan at Vitesse this season.

The Norwegian midfielder has scored six and assisted nine in the Eredivisie over the course of the campaign and has attracted the interest of another Dutch club.

According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Ajax are keeping their eye on the 20-year-old with a view to signing him permanently this summer.

However, Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars is unwilling to match the 20-million-euro valuation that Los Blancos have set for the player.
