Camp Nou cheers as Ajax knock Juventus out of Champions League

There were cheers at Camp Nou as Ajax came from behind to beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus to make the Champions League semifinal.

Matthijs de Ligt scored the winning goal in the 70th minute and when the score flashed up on the scoreboard in Barcelona the home fans cheered.

Juve had led through Ronaldo but Ajax, the better side on the night, levelled through Donny van de Beek — both goals went to VAR.

The home side were the favourites in Turin, but Ajax grew after the break and De Ligt booked their place in the semifinal.

After knocking out Real Madrid in the last round and now Ronaldo, the Dutch side will meet either Tottenham or Manchester City in the last four.
