Gareth Bale endured another grey night at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in El Clasico.
After 61 minutes he was withdrawn from his post by Santiago Solari, who introduced Marco Asensio.
There were a lot of whistles as he departed, as well as some applause.
He hasn’t found the net at home since scoring against Roma in September.
Solari gambled on him for the big game after being a substitute in each of the previous two games against Barcelona.
He wasn’t involved a great deal, though, and his duel with Ousmane Dembele meant he was also forced track back and be mindful of his defensive duties.
Bale has 13 goals in 32 games this season, with the last coming via the penalty spot against Levante.
