Bernabeu once again, this time by reaching the Copa del Rey final for the sixth successive year, something never previously achieved in Spain.

The Catalans, who have won the last four Spanish Cups and were runners-up in 2014, will play in this season’s final at the Benito Villamarin in Seville on May 25 against either Real Betis or Valencia.

Barca are looking to win their 31st Copa del Rey in what will be their 41st final appearance. No one has won the tournament more than them.

FIVE IN A ROW?

In the final, Barca can become the first club in Spanish football to win five Copas in a row. The record is currently in Barca’s hands at four (2015-2018) but it is shared with Real Madrid (1905-1908) and Athletic Club (1930-1933).

The last time Barca lost a Copa del Rey tie was the 2014 final. The last time they lost over two legs was also against Madrid, in the 2012-13 season at the semifinal stage.
