It is reported by Argentinian media TyC Sports that Real Madrid have identified Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico as a transfer target.

TyC Sports says that should Santiago Solari – also from Argentina – be given the chance to continue as Real Madrid manager next season, they will try and sign Ajax left back Tagliafico.

It means that Marcelo would possibly be leaving the La Liga giants, having recently lost his place to youngster Sergio Reguilon.

Reports in Italy have linked Marcelo with a move to Juventus, where Cristiano Ronaldo is playing for.

26-year-old Tagliafico has been a successful acquisition for Ajax, having joined the club in early 2018.

He played at 2018 World Cup and is now Argentina’s first-choice left back.

In 2012/13 season, he had a full season at Real Murcia and featured 28 times for the Spanish second division side.
