The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid surprised many people last summer, but not his former teammate Marcelon, who knew that the Portuguese would leave the club.
Ronaldo and Marcelo were very close friends in Madrid, and Brazilian defender has now revealed that Ronaldo had told him before the Champions League final against Liverpool, that he would leave the Spanish giant.
Marcelo revealed in an interview for Esporte Interativo that five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or had revealed plans before the Champions League triumph over Liverpool.
“We were training for the final game when he told me he was leaving,” Marcelo revealed for Esporte Interativo.
“He told you before the final? Then you have lied me, “replied the journalist.
“Yes, because I had to” added Marcelo.
